Kashi Zohoori joins Structural Engineering team in Austin, TX

ProNet Group is pleased to announce that Mr. Khashayar “Kashi” Zohoori, P.E., has joined the firm.  Mr. Zohoori has seventeen (17) years of experience in structural engineering, with extensive expertise in structural analysis and design, earthquake engineering (including seismic damage evaluation and retrofit), forensic investigations, deep foundation and retaining wall design, and the development of structural drawings. He also possesses a strong background in performance-based seismic design, particularly in static-nonlinear (pushover) analysis.

 

Mr. Zohoori has conducted structural evaluations of numerous commercial and residential buildings in the Austin and San Antonio areas.  He has analyzed and designed deep concrete piles under axial and lateral loads for infrastructure projects such as the West Expansion of the Austin International Airport and multi-story parking garages at the San Antonio International Airport.  Earlier in his career, he established a production line, including testing systems, and manufactured 1,200+ precast and prestressed concrete joists for buildings, and has a design patent of Indented Pre-Stressed Concrete Joist.  Additionally, he has performed seismic static analyses for seismic evaluation and retrofit design of over 30 existing school buildings in Iran, where he also owns a patent for a new type of Added Damping and Stiffness Device.
