ProNet Group was retained to conduct property damage evaluation and determine the origin, cause and extent of interior, exterior, and roof damage at a 40+ building multi-level apartment complex.

Requested to specify which, if any, damages were related to hurricane. Also, to review and comment on the insured’s engineering report.

ProNet Group’s evaluation found deterioration and aging of the flat roof coverings was the predominate cause of damage, and isolated wind damage to the asphalt shingle coverings was responsible for isolated roof and interior damage.

Interior water stains directly below identified wind damages were related to hurricane damage. Other interior damages were result of numerous other causes not associated or related to the hurricane event.
